What's in it for you? A connection, some challenges, a few questions to
encourage you to simply reflect about how you currently live your life versus how you want
to live your life. Feel free to share your thoughts with me; I'd love to hear from
you. This is an invitation to focus on where you'd like to change and grow.

The Two Minute Tune Out
1: What's Missing?
End of summer. Not a new year but may we call it -- and make it -- an opportunity?
Give yourself permission to get really conscious about what's draining your time and energy and also what's lacking in your life. What needs to be included in the next few months? Call it a Wish List or a Bucket List or anything you'd like. If time is the challenge, then think about what can be set aside. We tend to get so busy with stuff already in place, that sometimes we neglect to really take stock of how we can make improvements in our lives and create more space for happiness.
So maybe today or tomorrow, give yourself some much-needed-and-deserved space to think. Schedule it! Once you're able to identify what needs to be subtracted and what needs to be added, then you get to develop and implement a plan to make some changes. Just be aware - habits are sometimes big toughies to change - but don't give up. Success is definitely worth the effort!
This is an amazing exercise and can be done on your own, with a friend, or with a coach. Feel free to use me! email@example.com
2: A Famous Quote......
"It's easy to lose weight; I've done it dozens of times."
Some people would disagree with the word "easy" but most people who carry extra pounds would definitely connect with the "dozens of times" phrase. There's always a diet or a plan that makes weight loss sound easy but there's an acute lack of process to help the "losers" keep the weight away.
"It's easy to gain weight; I've done it dozens of times." Arguments?
Now, I truly believe that losing weight and keeping it off is doable. There's more to it than what I can share in this space, but I can give you some key words that will connect coaching with permanent weight loss: food, exercise, water, sleep, values, deprivation, limits, change, ego, accountability, self appreciation and attitude, to name a few. Want to learn more? Please, let's arrange a complementary and no obligation coaching call when you're ready to give up this on-going battle and take on forever weight loss.
3: The Two Minute Tune Out
From chaos to calm in just two minutes? How can that be?
A special weekend - a friend hosted a small group at her phenomenal island cottage. Yes, the cottage was indeed phenomenal, as was the hostess, and for me an also phenomenal part was the role of nature. As I sat on the dock, surrounded by gentle wavelets and the occasional duck paddling by, my sense of being went to a place of utmost calm, so special and unique for the mind and heart of a city girl.
As I gradually retuned to reality, I snapped a mental picture to be used liberally in the future.
Since returning home, whenever I'm feeling overly stressed or out of sorts, I bring back my picture (as often as I can remember) which helps me emulate the calm of that special interval by the lake.
Everyone has the power to snap their own special picture - one to be used at will to bring a bit of calm and comfort when needed. I suggest that you be on the lookout for your special place.
And never stop looking! The brain offers unlimited capacity for photo storage!
The Two Minute Tune Out is definitely not always a solution - but, it offers you the possibility of some relief and perhaps a new place from which to view.
And I'll walk my talk - as I cruise down the Yangtze River and view various other parts of China in October. See you in November!
I'm wishing you whatever you wish for yourself!
